What is freeze-dried raw dog food?
James & Ella's freeze-dried food is raw food, without the moisture. This means you can keep it in your kitchen cupboard, with no cold-storage required. It's convenient to feed, with zero mess. The innovative freeze-drying method removes the water content from natural, human-grade ingredients, without using any heat. This results in a room-temperature stable, lightweight raw food that's nutritious for your dogs, and convenient for you.

How does a Trial work?
Our trials are created according to your dog's inputted age and weight, and will typically calculate enough food to last your dog approximately two weeks - which is the perfect amount to determine if the food suits your dog. The trial then rolls over onto our monthly subscription, which you can delay, change, or cancel any time, with no strings attached.

Where is your freeze-dried raw food made?
Our freeze-dried raw food is made right here in the UK, from our kitchens in Norfolk. With a team of in house Canine Nutritionists, we formulate the best recipes, with locally sourced ingredients. Just how your dog likes it.
How should I introduce freeze-dried raw food to my dog?
We always recommend that new diets are introduced slowly and carefully to avoid upset tummies. Start by replacing 25% of your dog’s previous diet with freeze-dried raw, and gradually increase the amount of freeze-dried over 7-10 days.
Can I feed freeze-dried food as treats?
Yes, our freeze-dried nuggets are a perfect high-quality treat. Freeze-drying slowly and gently evaporates moisture from the raw ingredients, eliminating harmful pathogens. However, you should always maintain a good level of hygiene when handling dog food and dog treats, washing your hands before and after handling.
